The chipped mug you can't throw away, repaired in gold

the mug with the missing piece that i have moved house with twice. sent a photo and got it back whole, with the break lines running in gold lacquer. the damage is still completely visible, it is just the best part of it now. i sent it to the person who gave it to me and got a very long voice note back.
