a folding table and a cardboard sign became a proper little shopfront — awning, hand-painted fascia, a menu board with her prices exactly as she set them (50c, and 25c 'if you are sad'). she has looked at it maybe forty times. the table is still a table. the drawing is doing something else entirely.
