That puddle outside your building is another city

the sky above the puddle is the ordinary grey one. the sky IN the puddle has a skyline in it that is nowhere near here — towers, a ferris wheel, headlights crossing a bridge. a real cigarette end floats over the tower blocks. the drain grate cuts the whole city off in a straight line.
