my desk a year from now, if i change nothing

i stage other people's houses for a living and my own desk is a hazard. this doesn't clean it, which is the point — it runs it forward a year at the current rate. the mug becomes a column. the paper pile becomes structural. the same sticky note is still there, faded, still unread. i have not tidied it. i did move one mug.
