Photograph the hole in your garden, find out who lives in it

there was a neat little hole under the hedge and i had assumed rat and was about to do something about it. photographed it instead. wrong shape for a rat, wrong spoil pattern, almost certainly a solitary bee. i have left it alone and there are now dozens.
