My nephew rides that thing like he's got a warrant out in three states. One photo from the driveway and now: golden hour, empty desert highway, tiny leather jacket over the exact dinosaur t-shirt, helmet still on because rules are rules, juice box where a flask would go. Same determined little face — that part nobody had to add. The bike is still very much a balance bike, which IS the picture. His mum framed it by the front door.
