That video call with your parents, turned into actually sitting together

Sunday 8pm video call, every week: the screenshot is always their two faces leaning in, and me in the little window. Feed one in and what comes back is me sitting right at their kitchen table — one more cup of tea, the light their kitchen's own, the pose mid-conversation, like family just happened to take it. Nobody's face changes. I looked at mine for ten minutes before daring to send it. Tweak: 'sitting on the balcony with tea' — all of mum's flowers were there.
